VIGANJ

Viganj is a small tourist place on the western part of the Peljesac peninsula, only 8km from Orebic.

It is said that Viganj is a botanical garden in itself, rich with flowers and bushes brought as gifts by seamen to their beloved wives from their journeys. The population has long been involved in agriculture, fishing and, more recently, tourism.

Visit historical sites such as: the St. Ivan church (located on an eponymous hill and offers a beautiful view of the Peljesac canal), St. Ilija hill and the Nakrana village.

Viganj is rich with pebble beaches and is very popular among sports and active vacation fans, especially those who enjoy water activities (windsurfing, sailing, diving…).

You can enjoy other activities, as well, such as backetball, volleyball, tennis, football, cycling… Viganj is s heaven for windsurfers. It is a place where every few yards you can enjoy beach bars – it has been the favorite destination for nature and adrenalin lovers. Viganj is a place suitable for a quiet vacation with family or friends.

HOW TO REACH US

If you travel in the direction of Zagreb to Split, take the motorway all the way to Ploče. From Ploče to Trpanj, board a ferry with your car, and from Trpanj you will reach Viganj in 20 minutes. As an alternative to the ferry, after leaving the motorway, drive around 30 minutes to the Adriatic highway, then drive eastward through Neum to Pelješac. It is then a one-hour drive along the Pelješac road to Viganj.

Arriving from larger European cities, Dubrovnik Airport is your best choice with a swift connection to Pelješac (Viganj, Orebić, Ston, Janjina or Trpanj) from Dubrovnik. Transfers are available from the airport to the Dubrovnik bus station, where you can take the bus to Orebić (6 km from Viganj). Additionally, car rental or taxi transport is available.

The ship coastal line connects Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik, and docks in Korčula during the summer months. You can travel from Korčula to Orebić (6 km from Viganj) by ferry or by boat in about fifteen minutes. The catamaran line from Korčula to Split is the fastest between these two towns, runnning on a daily basis in accordance with the schedule.
